Valintus and DOHA jointly present at Technology in Government Summit - Thursday, 21 August 2008
Darryl Stuart, Valintus Senior Consultant presented a paper with Ms Jane Spittle, Assistant Director, Primary and Ambulatory Care, Department of Health and Ageing at the Technology in Government Summit in Sydney on 19 August. The presentation on the Information Management Maturity Framework (IMMF) was very well received and generated considerable interest. The Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Healthcare appoints Valintus - Monday, 2 June 2008
The Commission’s charter is to develop a national strategic framework and associated work program that will guide its efforts in improving safety and quality across the health care system in Australia. The Commission has recently established a number of panels to provide specialist support services that will assist in the delivery of certain elements of the Commission’s ongoing Work Program. Valintus has been appointed to the Commission’s panel for Health Information Systems.

The Australian General Practice Network recently published a submission to the National eHealth Strategy. This submission sets out the divisions network’s vision for IM progress in Australian general practice and divisions. Valintus and the Information Management Maturity Framework (IMMF) developed by Valintus for the Department of Health and Ageing were referenced in the submission as a positive eHealth initiative to improve the information management capacity and capability of General Practice. 

Governance and Stakeholder Management - Friday, 2 May 2008
Tim Brosnan, Valintus Director, has recently presented two papers at conferences in Sydney and the Gold Coast on the importance of Governance and Stakeholder Management in successful ICT delivery. Both presentations are available for download. 

Another Federal Win - Wednesday, 30 January 2008
The Department of Health and Ageing has selected Valintus to investigate Data Extraction and Analysis tools that are suitable for use by general practitioners and Divisions of General Practice. The Department’s focus for this project is to directly encourage GPs and Divisions to adopt best practice information management behaviours and systems. Valintus was successful on the basis of its expertise in clinical information systems, evidence-based practice and GP eHealth systems.

Tim Brosnan, Director, Program Delivery Services. Tim is a senior program director who is an industry specialist in the management, design and deployment of ICT system assets. He specialises in health program delivery and is currently leading an IT Alignment Program for a large aged and community care organisation. Prior to that Tim was contracted to fill senior management positions in Queensland Health's Information Division, which included a significant role in the planning and delivery of Queensland Health's major eHealth investment program. During his 18 years with DMR Consulting/Fujitsu, Tim held national consulting management positions with responsibility for delivery assurance, system implementation and application service delivery.
